MESSAGE FROM TOM KENWARD - TOUR MANAGER

It is with great pleasure that I can confirm the details of the 2010 Hammersmith & Fulham men’s rugby tour to LJUBJANA in SLOVENIA.

The basic details that you need for the time being are:

Dates: Friday 2nd April – Monday 5th April 2010

Depart: London Stansted airport – Ljubljana 15:35 – 18:40

Return: Ljubljana – London Stansted 19:10 – 20:25 (might need to take a day off on the Tuesday!)

Transfers: Return airport transfers included in Slovenia

Accommodation: 3 nights city centre hostel accommodation. Sharing rooms of 2/4 on a room only basis

Match: Fixture arranged against local opposition with match transfers and post match social taken care of.

Cost: £350pp includes stash and individual player insurance. 

Theme: TBC 

 

  • Although in the euro zone, having beer from €2.20 in the town and €1.50 in the clubhouse means that even if the exchange rate is bad, it is still going to be cheaper than previous years
     
  • Bordering Italy and Croatia it means that the climate should support the Speedo attire
     
  • There are well over 50,000 students studying in the capital which means it should be right up our street!
     

 So, how do you get involved?

You will need to drop an email to tom.kenward@iris-digital.com titled SLOVENIA TOUR to register your interest with your name, playing position and Hammers team that you play for (if applicable – this is to help get a match that reflects the standard of our playing tourists). 

 At the same time please pay £100 as your deposit to guarantee your place on the 'pain plane' to Ljubljana. This list will then be cross-referenced against those that have paid their subs and I will send out an email to successful tourists ! It is a club rule that you have to be a paid member to join the Easter Tour. If you haven't paid this but want to come, please do this at the same time. (£75 for playing members and £25 for non playing members). The remainder will be due in two equal instalments of £125 due by 5th February and 5th March.

The only fair way to do this is on a first come first served and basis and given that there are 40 places on tour and 6 sides playing regularly, you will appreciate that there will be huge demand for this.
