HAMMERSMITH & FULHAM RFC
STUART MANGAN APPEAL

NEWS AND EVENTS

On 5th April 2008 Stuart Mangan broke his neck whilst playing fly half for Hammersmith & Fulham's Second XV in an end of season friendly.  As a result of this injury, which is extremely rare,  Stuart has no feeling below his neck, is on a ventilator and requires 24 hr nursing care; unfortunately his  condition is unlikely to improve.

In spite of this Stuart has a remarkably positive outlook to life, has already left hospital and is now living, with the support of his carers, in his own flat.  To ensure that Stuart enjoys the best quality of life possible, we need to raise as much money as possible.  This money will be used to ensure that his accommodation is as comfortable as possible, that he has the most appropriate equipment necessary for him to get out and about and all of the medical support that he requires.

MESSAGE FROM STUART MANGAN
The Give 2 for Stu Campaign launched and patroned by Jason Leonard was an amazingly novel idea
and has turned out to be a great success.  I'd like to thank Jason and Hammersmith & Fulham Rugby Football Club for all they've done, but most of all I'd like to thank all those Clubs and Club Members who have donated so generously to my Appeal.
Please keep spreading the word!
